Championship Bicycle Race Giro d'Italia starts festive Saturday (8 / 5) in Amsterdam. In the prologue or opening of the championship, riders compete individually a distance of 8.4 kilometers.
Approximately 150 thousand spectators crammed along the route from start to finish. British rider Bradley Wiggins recorded the fastest time and the right to wear Pink T-Shirt.
Amsterdam issued a fund amounting to 5.5 million Euros for the opening of this Giro. The first and second stage Sunday (9 / 5) and Monday (10 / 5) will commence from Amsterdam and around several cities in the Netherlands. After that, the drivers will continue the game in Italy.
